There are always many comic book series that fans read and think would make for fantastic screen adaptions. The Walking Dead ranks highly in that list as one of the most successful comic series ever. And one thing that always excites fans is when the creator of their favorite stories writes up some new material.

Robert Kirkman is the man behind The Walking Dead, and fans of TWDU have a lot to thank him for. Not only did he create over one hundred comics about our favorite apocalyptic story and characters, but he brought many communities and actors together to create one of the best hit series of all time. So naturally, fans were initially excited when he began to write up his Superhero comic book, Invincible, which is based around school student Mark Grayson and his journey to becoming one of the most powerful superheroes ever. Which doesn't come without trials and tribulations, but that keeps the show fresh and exciting!

In 2021, Kirkman's Invincible began with its first season, and the show's popularity has meant that we are now expecting season four next year. Throughout the epic journey so far, fans have been treated to hear several TWD actor cameos and also voice main characters in the show: Steven Yeun plays the man himself, whilst more recently, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has featured with Ross Marquand, Lauren Cohan, Khary Payton, Lennie James, and Sonequa Martin-Green, to name a few, all having made cameos so far. But which other TWD actors would fans love to hear in the series?

Five The Walking Dead actor's fans want in Invincible.

5. Danai Gurira

Danai Gurira brought fan favorite bad-ass Michonne to life during her time in TWDU and has expanded her horizons into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, also playing strong leads. So fans would be treated to hear Gurira in Invincible, but she would have to play a powerful character who would do anything to save her family and friends. So Universa would be the perfect choice for her, seeing as she wants to do all she can to save her Planet and those there.

4. Josh McDermitt

I truly believe that Josh McDermitt is one of the most dynamic character actors out there, and his time as Eugene on TWD proved to fans that he can go from zero to one hundred with his emotions. Seeing as McDermitt also has a career past set within voice acting, I think Dinosaurus would be a fitting choice for him within the Invincible World. Dinosaurus wants to save the World, but although he is intelligent and clever, he uses methods that require a lot of damage in doing so, which never really work out; I think McDermitt would capture the essence of him incredibly well.

3. Melissa McBride

Melissa McBride is one of the longest-serving TWD alumni and can pack a punch with her words and actions, and Carol Peletier was the ideal display of this. Zephyr Noble seems like she could be a good fit for McBride. A superhero who can create varying air currents from powerful to light to spread her heroism in helping others using the element.

2. Norman Reedus

Norman Reedus not only kicked ass on TWD since the beginning as Daryl Dixon but is also an epic motorbike rider. So, I have chosen Space Racer as a fitting choice for Reedus to cameo as in the Invincible Universe. An Alien who glides through space on his motorbike and carries a very destructive gun capable of killing Vultrumites, but who is also the protagonist, just screams Reedus!

1. Andrew Lincoln

My first choice for a cameo is the legendary Andrew Lincoln, who lit up fans' screens as the iconic Rick Grimes. But which character could Lincoln be to continue his legacy in Kirkman's stories? I think Monax Zaxal could work for Lincoln; disguising his voice is something he can do perfectly, and playing an Alien who seeks revenge against an evil from his childhood seems like an interesting option for Lincoln!

Wouldn't they be great? Whilst it is uncertain if we will have these five TWD alumni, or any, join later seasons of Invincible, one thing for sure is that fans will get to enjoy more episodes of this saga when it returns for its fourth season next year! And we already can not wait!
