Actor Joel de la Fuente joined The Walking Dead universe in season 1 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. He portrays a character named Losang, the leader of the Union of Hope group that Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) becomes involved in. de la Fuente has been quite active on social media, giving fans a fantastic look behind the scenes of the series.

When Daryl first encounters Losang in the season finale of season 1, "Coming Home," he is shocked to discover that he is an American. Losang explains that he hails from Hoboken, New Jersey who voyaged to Paris as a student in the '90s. He appears to be a very welcoming and is the one who planted the seed of Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) being a messiah who will save humanity.

Initially, Losang appears to be a friend of Laurent with his best interests at heart. His true colors are slowly revealed with the announcement of a ceremony that Laurent will undergo to prove he is an apocalyptic messiah. After betraying Daryl and Isabelle ((Clemence Poesy), he quickly becomes enemy No. 1.

In episode 3, Losang captures Daryl and Isabelle after they, along with Fallou (Eriq Ebouaney), disrupt the ceremony. Losang appears ready to stop at nothing to locate Laurent, who escaped with Fallou.

de la Fuente, who is best known for his role as 1st Lieutenant Paul Wang in the 1990s sci-fi series, Space: Above and Beyond, has been extremely active on social media during the second season of Daryl Dixon.

The actor shared his exciting about being able to train with Leo Tamaki and his brother Issei Tamaki who have both spent decades practicing the art of martial arts.

The series also stars Gianna Jun, Gang Dongwon, John Cho, Christopher Gorham, Alicia Hannah-Kim, and Jacob Bertrand. de la Fuente was announced with additional cast members: Spencer Garrett, Brooke Smith, Tom Lenk, Michael Gaston, and Romy Rosemont.

Tempest is currently in production and will be release on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu in the U.S.
