Love him or hate him, Scott M. Gimple is The Walking Dead's Chief Content Officer, and his comments, good or bad, seal the collective destiny of the universe. Fans are always eager to hear what tidbits of information he will reveal next.
Most recently, a bit of information Gimple shared with The Direct Extras (video below) was bittersweet for the fandom. One question that is constantly thrown Gimple's way is regarding additional seasons of the Rick (Andrew Lincoln ) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) spinoff TWD: The Ones Who Live.
The first two direct spinoffs, TWD: Dead City and TWD: Daryl Dixon, have each been renewed for additional seasons. It only seems fair that The Ones Who Live also be renewed for additional seasons. But, according to Gimple, "I mean the plan was to keep it limited," which is sad news, but he adds that does mean we won't see Rick and Michonne again. This is promising as these characters could easily fit into another storyline, which is good news for Richonne fans.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is now streaming on Netflix.
The Walking Dead: Dead City

AMC recently announced that Dead City will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on May 4. The eight-part season will feature Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in their continued stories in Manhattan. The first season featured the duo working together to rescue her son Hershel (Logan Kim), but season 2 will find them, once again, on opposite sides.
Season 1 of TWD: Dead City will begin streaming on Netflix on March 17.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

Daryl Dixon will premiere its third season later this year on AMC and AMC+. The previous two seasons took place in France and featured the return of Carol, portrayed by Melissa McBride. She learned that Daryl (Norman Reedus) had been shipped off to France, and nothing could stop her from being reunited with her best friend. The upcoming season will move the story to Spain as the duo continues to make their way back home.
Season 1 of TWD: Daryl Dixon is streaming on Netflix.
