Actor Jon Bernthal is in for a HUGE year in 2025. His most recent work includes The Bear, Origin, American Gigolo, and We Own This City. Below is the list of movies and shows Bernthal will appear in for the upcoming year.
Daredevil: Born Again
Bernthal reprises his role as Frank Castle / Punisher for the nine-part series Daredevil: Born Again, which will premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. Based on the Marvel Comics featuring Daredevil, the series was created by Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman & Chris Ord. Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, and the series also stars Vincent D'Onofrio, Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, and more. The series has been renewed for a second season.
The Amateur
He will also star in an espionage thriller, The Amateur that is an adaptation of Robert Littell's novel. The movie also stars Rami Malek, Rachel Brosnahan, Caitríona Balfe, Michael Stuhlbarg, Holt McCallany, Julianne Nicholson, Adrian Martinez, Danny Sapani, and Laurence Fishburne. The story follows CIA cryptographer Charles Heller (Malek) after losing his wife in a terrorist attack blackmails the agency to train him to hunt down the group who killed her. The Amateur will be released in theaters on Apri 11, 2025.
The Accountant 2
The second installment of The Accountant movies will see Bernthal in another reprisal. He will return as Brax Wolff, brother of Ben Affleck's Christian Wolff. The new movie is a direct sequel of the first film, both of which are directed by Gavin O'Connor and written by Bill Dubuque. J. K. Simmons, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson will also return and Daniella Pineda has also joined the cast. The Accountant 2 will be released in theaters on April 25, 2025.
His & Hers
Bernthal will also star in the upcoming mystery thriller His & Hers, an adaptation of Alice Feeney's 2020 novel. The series follows a journalist investigating a murder in her hometown when she comes against a suspicious detective. Tessa Thompson, Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani, and Rebecca Rittenhouse also star. The release date has yet to be announced, but filming was expected to wrap in Dec. 2024, so a 2025 release could be possible.
