Actor Norman Reedus recently attended the world premiere of From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, the spinoff movie in the John Wick franchise starring Ana de Armas. This marks one of several releases for Reedus in 2025.
Ballerina is directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard, Total Recall) and written by Shay Hatten, writer of John Wick 3 & 4, Army of the Dead, and Army of Thieves. The story takes place between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and Chapter 4 and is a spinoff of the movies made famous by Keanu Reeves, who portrays Wick.

de Armas leads the cast as Eve Macarro, a ballerina who trains as an assassin, with Reedus portraying Daniel Pine, a mysterious man. They are joined by several actors who reprise their roles from the John Wick movies, including Reeves, Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston, and the late Lance Reddick. Additional newcomers to the franchise include Gabriel Byrne and Catalina Sandino Moreno.
Ballerina is scheduled for release in theaters on June 6, 2025.
Norman Reedus in Ballerina

In an interview with The Upcoming (below), which took place during the filming of Ballerina, Reedus shares his excitement about being part of the franchise. He also shares that he had to ask for a break from "shooting a television show in France." Fans of Reedus know he is referring to The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. He adds that he told them he needed the break because "Guys, it's John Wick." And he obviously got the break.
Reedus, who is the envy of his other castmates, also shares his enthusiasm for the franchise as a whole, loving everything about it, including the interesting characters, unique lighting, and the action-packed sequences. He shared his experience watching Keanu flick a cartridge out of a pistol, where he was like "Oh my god, rewind, rewind."
In the fall of 2025, Reedus will reprise his role as Daryl Dixon in the third season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The upcoming season will be set in Spain, as Daryl and his best friend, Carol (Melissa McBride), begin their journey home.
