On February 7, AMC will hold a premiere event that will significantly expand the story of two vital characters originally featured in The Walking Dead series. Rick Grimes and Michonne will once again grace our screens with the excitedly anticipated spinoff, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.

Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira return to The Walking Dead universe in the sixth spinoff of the main series, which focuses on their characters, Rick and Michonne. While their introduction was most assuredly not love at first sight, their relationship would grow into a friendship of mutual respect that would eventually turn into true love.

On February 25, 2024, The Ones Who Live will premiere on AMC and AMC+, but before that date, on February 7, AMC will host AMC/AMC+ Presents: The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Premiere. Sadly, the event is already sold out, but there will be tons of media outlets on site providing all the news that comes out of the event. Lincoln and Gurira have been announced as attending, and it is likely that more cast members will be announced as well.

TWD Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple serves as showrunner for the series and executive produces with Lincoln, Gurira, Denise Huth, Brian Bockrath, and Greg Nicotero, who directs the first episode titled "Years."

There will be several other familiar faces joining Lincoln and Gurira in the spinoff. Most notable is Jadis, portrayed by Pollyanna McIntosh, who has also starred in the main series and second spinoff, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, where she revealed her involvement in the Civic Republic Military (CRM) as a warrant officer. Breeda Wool and Andrew Bachelor will also be featured in the series, reprising their brief roles from season 10 of The Walking Dead as Aiden and Bailey, two members of a huge caravan who seek help from Michonne.

There have been several new actors announced for the series, including Lucifer actress Lesley-Ann Brandt, who will play Pearl Thorne, and Lost actor Terry O'Quinn, who portrays Major General Beale of the CRM. Craig Tate will play a CRM solider named Donald Okafor, with Matthew August Jeffers as Nat, a character who appears to be an ally of Michonne's.
