Colman Domingo cast in The Four Seasons series for Netflix starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell

Variety reports that Emmy Award-winning Colman Domingo will star in the upcoming series The Four Seasons, which will air on Netflix.
Created by Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield, who worked together on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock, The Four Seasons is an adaptation of the 1981 romantic comedy movie of the same title, which starred Alan Alda with Carol Burnett, Rita Moreno, Sandy Dennis, and Len Cariou. The three creators will executive produce with David Miner, Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond. Alda and Marissa Bregman will produce; Bregman's father, Martin, produced the original film. In 1984, Alda produced a shortlived series that aired on CBS that was based on the movie.
The series has been ordered for eight episodes, which follow the seasonal vacations taken by three married couples, who in the movie lived in New York. The dynamic of the group is significantly altered when one of the men leaves his wife for a younger woman and brings her on the group's vacations.
At this time, only Fey, Carell, and Domingo have been announced for the series, which was announced in January and will begin production later this year.
Colman Domingo - Wild with Happy and more
It was recently announced that Domingo had enlisted the talents of Oscar winner Oprah Winfrey, Tony Winner Alex Newell, Golden Globe winner Tyler James Williams, and Tony nominee Sharon Washington for an audio adaptation of his play Wild with Happy. The adaptation premieres on Audible on June 13.
Domingo starred in the Netflix original, Rustin which told of Civil Right Activist Bayard Rustin. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal. He also starred in the musical adapation of The Color Purple where he portrayed the dastardly Mister.
He will also star in the A24 drama Sing Sing, inspired by the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing maximum security prison. The story tells of inmates involved in the program who attempt to create an orginal production titled Breakin' Mummy's Code. Domingo stars alongside Paul Raci and several alums from the program.
He has also been cast as Joe Jackson, father of Michael in the late signers biopic. He will write, direct and star as Nat King Cole in this performers untitled biopic.
