Daryl Dixon: The Book of Carol all the details for season 2

AMC has announced that the premiere date for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol will be September 29. The series will also debut on AMC+ on that date. Daryl Dixon is the second direct spinoff of The Walking Dead, whose story concluded in 2022, focusing on the titular character, portrayed by Norman Reedus, as he finds himself washed ashore in France.

The first season, which premiered in 2023, focused on Daryl's arrival in France as he immediately began his plans to return home, as the journey was forced on him. His plan was to return to the Commonwealth in a week, a fact he told Carol (Melissa McBride) in a brief radio conversation. Soon after, he would be thrown on a ship headed to France against his will.
While in France, Daryl befriends a nun named Isabelle(Clémence Poésy) and a young boy named Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi), who are members of the Union of Hope. He then fights alongside this group against Pouvoir or The Power of the Living.
The first season also teased the return of Carol in a after credits scene where she begins searching for Daryl in Maine, his last known location.
Daryl Dixon season 2 synopsis
Showrunner David Zabel has stated that the second installment of the series will begin almost the day after events of the season 1 finale.
"This season picks up where Season 1 left off, following fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest."

It is a given that Reedus will return as Daryl, a role he has played since 2010. McBride will rejoin TWDU, after a short hiatus.

The only new cast member announced for season 2 is Manish Dayal, who portrays Ash in the trailer below. Dayal is known for his role in The Resident.
