Dead City actress Michelle Hurd cast in new film 25 Miles to Normal

Actress Michelle Hurd is well known for her roles in many notable titles, including the role of Raffi Musiker in Star Trek: Picard. She joined The Walking Dead universe as Jones in The Walking Dead: Dead City's first season and has another interesting tie to the universe. Hurd is married to Fear the Walking Dead actor Garret Dillahunt, who portrayed John Dorie in that series. The Hollywood Reporter has the exclusive on Hurd's next role. She will star in a comedy, 25 Miles to Normal.
Hurd was announced with Lucas Bryant and Bruce Davison as leads in Joshua Brandon's new film, 25 Miles to Normal. Brandon, known for his work on the Syfy series Haven, writes and directs the Artist View Entertainment production, which begins filming this month in Kansas City and St. Joseph, Missouri. Rachel Nichols, Ed Begley Jr., and Dee Wallace have also been cast in the film.
According to THR the story focuses on a doctor (Bryant) who reunites with his estranged father (Davison) and other family members.

Michelle Hurd - movies and shows
Hurd recently starred in the Netflix rom-com Anyone But You with Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney. She also plays a supporting role in Emily Moss Wilson's indie directorial debut, Inheritance.
She also appears in the BET+ movie Kemba, based on actual events experienced by college student Kemba Smith. While attending college, Smith became involved with a man she would later learn operated as a drug kingpin. She was charged as a co-conspirator in his drug trafficking ring and would be sentenced to 24.5 years in federal prison. She would be given clemency by former President Bill Clinton and become a criminal justice advocate. Smith served as an executive producer for the film.
During The Walking Dead: Dead City's first season, Hurd played a minor role as Jones, a bar owner. Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan) visited her establishment in her search for Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
She is well known as Det. Monique Jeffries in seasons 1 and 2 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and her above-mentioned role as Raffi Musiker in Star Trek: Picard. She has also appeared in Daredevil, Ash vs Evil Dead, Pretty Little Liars, 90210, and Devious Maids.
