Actor Frank Dillane is well known for his excellent portrayal of Nick Clark in AMC's Walking Dead spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead. Nick was a troubled teen and drug addict who had a rude awakening when the outbreak occurred. Dillane's portral of Nick made him a fan favorite. Next, Dillane will appear in the drama film Harvest.
The movie, directed by Greek filmmaker Athina Rachel Tsangari, is an adaptation of Jim Crace's Booker Prize-shortlisted novel of the same name. Tsangari teamed with Joslyn Barnes to write the screenplay, and Barnes and Rebecca O'Brien produced the film with The Match Factory, Tsangari’s Haos Film, and Meraki Film.
Caleb Landry Jones leads the cast of what Tsangari describes as a reckoning. The synopsis describes the story set in an unnamed village during seven hallucinatory days, in an undefined time and place, when the village disappears. Harvest is Tsangri's tragicomic take on Crace's story of Walter Thirsk, a townsman turned farmer, and the perplexed Charles Kent (Harry Melling), lord of the manor. The two childhood friends are forced to face an invasion in the form of the trauma of modernity.
Jones is joined by Melling, Rosy McEwen, Arinzé Kene, Thalissa Teixeira, and Frank Dillane, to round out the cast.
Below is a teaser clip for Harvest that has wrapped filming Scotland.
