Norman Reedus & Bikeriders cast celebrate and honor service members at Fort Irwin

Actor Norman Reedus has many memorable credits to his name. He is best known for his roles as Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead universe and Murphy MacManus in the Boondock Saints film series. This summer, Reedus will appear in the Focus Features film The Bikeriders.
The film, written and directed by Jeff Nichols premieres in theaters nationwide on June 21. The film gets its inspiration from a photography book by Danny Lyon which showcases the lives of the Outlaws MC (motorcycle club) based in McCook, Illinois. The film stars Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, Tom Hardy, Michael Shannon, Boyd Holbrook, Norman Reedus and more.
The Bikeriders tells of the fictional MC known as the Vandals led by Hardy's Johnny. Benny (Butler) is the newest member and Kathy (Comer) is his girl. Set in the 60s, the movie chronicles the transformation of the club from a gathering place for outcasts to a gang with criminal motives.
Morningstar reports that Nichols, Butler, Comer, and Reedus joined the USO to celebrate and honor service members at Fort Irwin, located in San Bernardino County, California. The group arrived via Black Hawk helicopters, where they met with troops who train at what is known as the US Army's premier training center and viewed the K-9 unit.
Below is the USO Military Virtual Programming (MVP) session during which the cast and director met with service members from USO Patriot Missile Site 8, United Arab Emirates, Edwards Air Force Base, California, Camp Aachen, Germany, and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. They participated in a Q&A session with members of the military and their families around the world. A special screening of The Bikeriders was another highlight of the visit.
The MVP sessions were created by the USO, an organization created in 1941 that is a nonprofit which is dedicated to enhancing the well being of the United States military members and their families. Through the MVP program more than 321 celebrity guests have taken part.
Norman Reedus - upcoming roles
Another exciting release for Reedus this summer is the second season of the Daryl Dixon spinoff, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol. The season will premiere at Tribeca, where Reedus and co-star Melissa McBride will attend. The second season will showcase Daryl's continued journey in France while Carol searches for him in the States.
Reedus will also star in the third installment of the Boondock Saints movie and has been cast alongside Naomi Watts, Tye Sheridan, and Michael Imperioli in a psychological drama, The Housewife. In 2025, Reedus will appear in the John Wick spinoff Ballerina with Ana de Armas.
