Since the beginning of The Walking Dead, Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) have had a special bond. Throughout their time together, they became the best of friends but parted ways in the series finale scene. The pair share similar traumatic backgrounds but are both survivors who will stop at nothing to protect the ones they love. Soon, the duo will appear in the second season of the Daryl Dixon series, The Book of Carol.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon's second season is subtitled The Book of Carol, bringing the fan-favorite character back into the fold of TWDU to the delight of many fans. The 23rd edition of the Tribeca Film Festival will be held June 5-16 and will feature 11 series premieres and two first looks at returning series.

The second season will see the return of many actors including Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi, and Eriq Ebouaney, with the addition of Manish Dayal.

The upcoming season will pick up where season 1 left off with Daryl in France while Carol searches for him in the States. The final scene of the previous season left Daryl with a decision to either board a ship that would begin his return trip home or stay with Laurent (Scigliuzzi) and continue their journey together in France. A bonus scene showcased Carol, who had begun to search for Daryl in Maine, his last known location.

"They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest."

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has been announced for a summer release, which could be officially announced at the Tribeca screening. The series has been renewed for a third season.
