The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon The Book of Carol coming this summer
The Book of Carol marks the return of Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier to The Walking Dead universe.

The Walking Dead character Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) will return to TWDU this summer in the second season of the Daryl Dixon series subtitled The Book of Carol. Whether she's baking cookies or telling others to look at the flowers, Carol is a badass woman who will stop at nothing to protect those she loves.
The Book of Carol teasers reveal that Carol begins her search for Daryl in the United States, more specifically Maine, his last known location. In season 1 of Daryl Dixon, Daryl was able to make a radio call to Carol at the Commonwealth and tells her he will return in a week. Viewers know that Daryl was thrown on a ship bound for France against his will. When he didn't arrive at the promised time, Carol, doing what she does best, began her search for her best friend.
The sneak peek below shows Daryl in France and Carol in the states in similiar situations. Daryl and a group set a trap for Genet (Anne Charrier) and her soldiers of The Power of the Living. When the plan fails Daryl leads the charge to take them down.
In Maine, Carol, in possession of Daryl's motorcycle, searches for him in the camp where he captured walkers and was then taken against his will. She asks about the previous owner of the bike, and when she notices that a man has Daryl's crossbow, she snaps into action.
Daryl Dixon season 2 - The Book of Carol
AMC has announced that The Book of Carol will premiere in the summer of 2024, but the exact date has yet to be released. This is exciting news as it was thought the series may debut in the fall, as the first season did.
This season will pick up where the previous one left off, with Carol and Daryl confronting old demons. He struggles with his decision to remain in France and protect the Nest, and Carol seeks more information about her friend's whereabouts.
Many of the cast from the first season are expected to return, including Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi, and Eriq Ebouaney and newly announced Manish Dayal joins the cast.
David Zabel will again serve as showrunner and executive produce with Scott M. Gimple, Reedus, McBride, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Daniel Percival, Jason Richman, and Steve Squillante.
