Tread lightly as this article contains spoilers for the first episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol.
Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol is off to a great start with the first episode, "Le Gentillesse Des Étrangers" (English translation "Kindness of strangers"). Carol was back in full force as she frantically searched for clues to Daryl's whereabouts. His last known location was Maine, where she began searching and quickly discovered that he was forced onto a ship bound for France.
She would befriend Ash (Manish Dayal), a man who owns a plane. She uses his grief over losing his son to persuade him to take her to France under the guise of searching for her daughter, who viewers know died in season 2 of the main series. The episode concludes with them taking off in the plane, heading to France.
Daryl is seen quite a bit less in the first episode, but viewers learn that he has his eye on Losang (Joel de la Fuente), who seems to have ulterior motives in claiming Laurent is the one who will save humanity. He is also becoming closer to both Isabelle (Clémence Poésy) and Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi).
