The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, and more, coming to the UK pay TV service Sky

Fans in the UK have been disappointed as they have had no options to watch The Walking Dead series and its spinoffs. Now fans in the UK will be able to watch in a partnership between AMC Networks and Sky.

Deadline reports that UK pay TV service Sky and AMC Networks, home of The Walking Dead universe, have partnered to feature all the series within TWDU on the service.

The British debut of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, a series that premired in the US in February 2024, will premiere on Sky and the streaming service Now on May 31. This is exciting news for fans located in the UK, although the series surprises have likely been spoiled on social media.

All eleven seasons of The Walking Dead will premiere on Sky and Now on May 19. Additional series in the partnership, including The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, are expected to be released later in the year. The Walking Dead series previously aired on Fox and Channel 5 in the UK, but this will be the first time the series has aired on Sky.

Walking Dead spinoffs

The Walking Dead series concluded it's story in November 2022 which made way for new spinoffs that featured characters first introduced in the main series.

The Walking Dead: Dead City - the fourth spinoff and first direct spinoff features the continued stories of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). This chapter of their story takes them to the post-apocalyptic wasteland of Manhattan, where criminal elements have come to live. The first season follows Maggie and Negan in their attempt to rescue Maggie's son Hershel (Logan Kim), who was abducted by one of Negan's former Saviors known as The Croat (Željko Ivanek). The series is currently filming its second season, which is expected to release in 2025.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - this direct spinoff features Daryl Dixon's (Norman Reedus) story, this time set in France. He is unwillingly thrown on a boat bound for France, where he finds himself a stranger in a strange land and encounters many new people, some friends, some foes. The series' second season will debut on AMC in the summer of 2024, sometime after the premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, and will feature the return of Carol Peletier, portrayed by Melissa McBride. The series has been renewed for a third season.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live - affectionately reffered to as the Rick and Michone series, The Ones Who Live continues the epic love story of the couple who had been separated for years. Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira return in this series, which finds them coming against the long-teased Civic Republic Military.
