Blumhouse and Liongate's supernatural thriller Imaginary is still available in theaters but has also been released on VOD. The movie is directed by Jeff Wadlow, co-writer of the movie with Greg Erb, Jason Oremland, and Bryce McGuire, who produces with Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions.

Imaginary was released in theaters on March 8 and is now available on VOD on Amazon Prime Video: $24.99 to purchase and $19.99 to rent.

The movie follows Jessica, a woman who, along with her family, moves back into her childhood home. There, she is reacquainted with a stuffed bear, Chauncey, who was her constant companion during her childhood. Her youngest stepdaughter becomes attached to the bear, but when her behavior drastically changes and odd events begin to happen, it's evident that Chauncey is more than just a stuffed animal.

Imaginary stars DeWanda Wise as Jessica and Pyper Braun as Alice, Jesscia's youngest stepdaughter. Tom Payne portrays Max, Jessica's husband, a musician, and Taegen Burns portrays the oldest daughter Taylor. Award-winning actress Betty Buckley, who made her film debut in the 1976 movie Carrie, portrays Jessica's neighbor who used to babysit her as a child.

The movie has had less than favorable critical reviews but it is a clever story with many suprises surrounded in a very sinister atmosphere.

Below is a great promo for the movie featuring Payne that was used to hype up the theatrical release.

Payne recently announced that he and his wife, Jennifer Åkerman, are expecting their second child in April 2024.

Next, Payne will star in Kevin Costner's new epic western Horizon: An American Saga, a four-part movie spanning from the Civil War and beyond. Parts 1 and 2 will be released in June and August 2024, respectively. IMDB has Payne listed for the first two movies, but nothing has been announced for the remaining two.
