Walking Dead and Abbott Elementary actor Tyler James Williams cast in Amber Alert

Golden Globe winner Tyler James Williams has made quite the name for himself as Mr. Gregory Eddie in the ABC series Abbott Elementary. He is remembered fondly in The Walking Dead universe for his portrayal of Noah, a character with one of the series' most gruesome deaths. Deadline reports Williams has been cast in a new role in a thriller, Amber Alert, with Hayden Panettiere.
Kerry Bellessa directed and co-wrote the film with Joshua Oram, of which Williams and
Panettiere will executive produce. The film is currently in post-production.
The story unfolds as Panettiere's Jaq orders a ride share, excited to begin the first day of a new job. Shane (Williams), the driver, is just using his side hustle to make extra cash. When their phones alert them to a child abduction via Amber Alert, they find themselves behind a car that matches the description of the kidnappers. This leads him on a ride of their lives as they pursue the abductors, risking their own lives.

Williams is well known for many roles, including Criminal Minds, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Dear White People, The Wedding Year, Whiskey Cavalier, and A Black Lady Sketch Show. He recently starred in three episodes of History of the World Part II, which airs on Hulu. He also voiced a character named Hawkman in the Harley Quinn animated series.
For his role as Gregory Eddie on Abbott Elementary, Williams has won several awards, including a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical-Comedy or Drama Television Series.
