Walking Dead's Pollyanna McIntosh stars in final season of Vikings: Valhalla

Actress Pollyanna McIntosh recently shared a social media post (below) of what she has been up to lately. After her surprise announcement that she had married comedian and actor Bobcat Goldthwait in a private ceremony earlier this year, McIntosh has taken some much-needed time to breathe when life gets overwhelming and spend time with loved ones. She also stars in the third and final seasons of Netflix's Vikings: Valhalla as Queen Ælfgifu of Denmark.
Vikings: Valhalla will premiere its third and final season on July 11 on Netflix. The historical drama is a sequel to Vikings, a series that aired on the History Channel and Prime video consisting of six seasons. The sequel is set during the eleventh century, 100 years after the original series' events, and features the tension between descendants of Vikings, known as Norse, and native English. The Norse experience religious confrontations amongst themselves, pitting Christians against the pagans.
The third eight-part season will conclude the series created by Jeb Stuart and picks up seven years after the previous season's events. The characters featured in Vikings: Valhalla consists of well-known legends and lesser-known historical figures. In the upcoming season, the heroes of the story have embarked on their different journeys. Freydís Eiríksdóttir (Frida Gustavsson), now the spiritual leader of Jomsborg, can't escape her violent past. Leif Erikson (Sam Corlett) and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter) settle in Constantinople as military advisors after a long trek down the Dnieper River.

Who does Pollyanna McIntosh portray in Vikings: Valhalla?
McIntosh's Queen Ælfgifu of Denmark, obtained her title upon the death of her husband, Canute. She originates from the region of Mercia and is familiar with both Vikings and Anglo-Saxons. She travels to Kattegat, where her son Svein (Charlie O'Connor) has become King of Norway.
Known as Ælfgifu of Northampton, this character is based on the first wife of Cnut the Great who was King of England and Norway. She was the mother of Harold Harefoot who became King of England and served as regent of Norway from 1030 to 1035.
Pollyanna McIntosh - Outer Banks season 4 and more
McIntosh will also appear in the fourth season of the Netflix original series Outer Banks. The streamer has yet to announce the release date, but many outlets report that the series is expected to release in the fall of 2024. She will portray Dalia, a revolutionary-like leader who comes in contact with the Pogues, the local group of teens the story is centered around. The Pogues are portrayed by Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, and Rudy Panko, who make up the main cast.
She recently returned to The Walking Dead universe, starring in her third TWDU series. She reprised her role as Jadis in the Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) centric spinoff, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
