Congratulations to Tom Payne and his wife, Jennifer Åkerman, who welcomed identical twins to their family on April 1, 2024.

In a statement to People, the couple had this to say about their exciting news, "We are overjoyed to share the news that on April 1st, 2024, we welcomed twins into our family! An entirely unexpected and wonderful surprise. Harrison is over the moon to have not one but two new siblings."

The couple started dating in 2013 and were engaged in 2018. They were forced to postpone their wedding, originally scheduled during the pandemic in April 2020, to December 2020, but this was a much simpler celebration than their vow renewal in 2022. They were finally able to host a lavish celebration, which was attended by Åkerman's sister, actress Malin Åkerman, Tyson Ritter, and his actress wife Elena Satine, Bellamy Young, Jamie Chung, Jimmy Akingbola, and Henry Conway. The couple's long-time friend and actor Lou Diamond Phillips officiated.

Payne announced the birth of the twins via Instagram, along with the news that the couple is starting a podcast, California Dreamin' (link below). In the first episode, "Twins So What You Gonna Do?" the couple share a recording of the call when they learned some very unexpected news: they were going to be parents to twins. They also share their love of Los Angeles and why.

Åkerman is a model and singer-songwriter, and Payne is well known for his role as Paul "Jesus" Rovia in The Walking Dead, a role he played from seasons 6 to 8. His death was an incredibly shocking moment in the series and was the first introduction of the Whisperers. He is also well known for his role as Malcolm Bright in the two-season series Prodigal Son and as Brett Aspinall in BBC's Waterloo Road. He also appeared in the recent horror movie Imaginary.

Next, Payne, who recently became an American citizen, will star in Kevin Costner's Horizon: An American Saga.
