Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, Major General Beale asks How did you (Rick) survive?

AMC and AMC+ will premiere The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live on Sunday, February 25. This spinoff features Rick and Michonne's return, two characters introduced in the main series and departed in seasons 9 and 10, respectively. They have long been separated but have never given up hope of finding one another.
The most recent promo video for The Ones Who Live focuses on several characters and their story arcs. One scene features Major General Beale of the CRM, portrayed by Lost actor Terry O'Quinn, who sits with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and asks him how he survived. Rick simply replies, "Sacrifice."
Fans of the main series know this to be true as Rick, in his final episode of The Walking Dead, made the heroic and selfless move to blow up the bridge of which a massive horde of walkers were crossing, posing a significant threat to his family and community.
He would be rescued by Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) in an attempt to save herself with the help of the CRM (Civic Republic Military). He was whisked away in a helicopter, and his fate was unknown. Jadis returns to TWDU as Warrant Officer Jadis Stokes of the CRM. She used Rick as her ticket to gain entrance to the organization and worked her way into this position. In the promo video, McIntosh talks about Jadis and the weight she carries with all of the secrets she knows. Will she be a friend or foe to Rick in this series? It will be exciting to find out.
The Ones Who Live will heavily feature the mysterious CRM teased in the main series, Fear the Walking Dead, and focused on in The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Beale is a ruthless leader who, from the teasers and trailers, appears to know that Rick is an asset. What is his end game with Conginee Rick Grimes? Which is another interesting and exciting storyline.
