Walking Dead universe returns to New York City Comic Con with Dead City & Daryl Dixon

New York Comic Con returns to Javits Center October 17-20, 2024 for another superb show. Tickets are selling fast, so get yours today! AMC Networks will feature several of its popular series at the event, including panels, a special screening, and more.
The Walking Dead spinoffs Daryl Dixon and Dead City will be featured in back-to-back panels. Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches, HIDIVE's DanMachi—Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon, and Shudder will also be featured in panels at the event.

The Walking Dead: Dead City
Friday, October 18 from 6-7 p.m. ET The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 panel on the main stage. The first direct spinoff of the main series, Dead City, focuses on Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in a continuation of these character's stories. The first season saw Maggie and Negan team up to rescue her son Hershel (Logan Kim). In the second season Negan will find himself in the middle of the war to control Manhattan, putting him and Maggie on opposite sides of the fight.
The panel will feature a first look at season 2, returning to AMC and AMC+ in 2025. Panelists scheduled to appear include Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe Scott M. Gimple, showrunner and executive producer Eli Jorné, and Cohan, who stars, serves as an executive producer, and directed two episodes of season 2. They will be joined by cast members Gaius Charles, who portrays Pearlie Armstrong, and Dascha Polanco, who joins the series in its second season.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol
Friday, October 18, from 7-8 p.m. ET The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol panel on the main stage. The second season of the Daryl Dixon spinoff premieres on AMC and AMC+ on September 29. This series focuses on the titular character, played by Norman Reedus, who will be joined by Melissa McBride, who will reprise her role as Carol Peleiter in season 2. The Book of Carol will follow Daryl as he continues to fight alongside The Union of Hope in France while Carol begins her search for her best friend, who she discovers is missing.
The panel will take place after the first three episodes of the six-part season 2 has aired. Panelists scheduled to appear include Gimple, showrunner, director Greg Nicotero, director Dan Percival, Reedus and McBride, who all serve as executive producers for the series. Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, who plays Laurent in the series, will also be featured on the panel.
Thursday, October 17, from 12:45-2:15 p.m. ET Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches panel on the main stage. Attendees will view an exclusive screening of the premiere episode of Mayfair Witches second season. The upcoming season will debut on AMC and AMC+ early in 2025. The second season continues to chronicle Rowan Mayfair's (Alexanra Daddario) after she births the demon Lasher (Jack Huston).
Immediately following the screening, executive producer Mark Johnson, showrunner Esta Spalding and cast members Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa and Alyssa Jirrels will hold a discussion about the upcoming season and a fan Q&A session.
Shudder is Here to Scare The S*** Out of You
Friday, October 18, from 8-9 p.m. ET Shudder is Here to Scare The S*** Out of You panel in Room 409. Sam Zimmerman, head of Shudder's programming will host a panel on the topic of the current state of horror, what scares us the most, and the genre's future. The panel will also feature a look at the most popular titles released on Shudder this year and what's to come.
Zimmerman will be joined by David Dastmalchian (Late Night With the Devil), Kate Siegel (V/H/S/BEYOND), Flying Lotus (V/H/S/99 and Kuso), Natasha Kermani (V/H/S/85) and Tina Romero, filmmaker, NY legend and daughter of George Romero.
HIDIVE Presents: DanMachi—Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?
Saturday, October 19, from 8-9 p.m. ET HIDIVE Presents: DanMachi—Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? panel in room 405. The fantasy series returns to HIDIVE this fall and attendees of NYCC are invited to World Dub premiere, an exclusive first look at the new English dub before its streaming debut.
