On Wednesday, June 25, Shane Brady's latest film, the comedy Hacked: A Double Entendre of Rage Fueled Karma, held its Los Angeles premiere at the Laemmle NoHo 7 Theater to a sold-out crowd. This movie features three familiar faces from The Walking Dead.
Hacked chronicles the true events experienced by Brady and executive producer Emily Zercher when they were hacked in 2021. The remainder of the story played out fictional events of “what they wish they could have done to that bastard.”
The movie Hacked was filmed in Tampa, Florida, at iconic locations, including Big Storm Brewing Co., J.C. Newman Cigar Co., Clearwater’s Pier 60, Dunedin’s Honeymoon Island, and the Jose Gasparilla II pirate ship docked at Bayshore Boulevard in downtown Tampa. The film marks Brady's second feature following his debut, Breathing Happy, which was released in 2022. This drama tells of Dylan, a drug addict, about to celebrate one year of recovery during the Christmas season, which is streaming on Prime Video.
Walking Dead actors Chandler Riggs, who stars as the hacker known as The Chameleon, Katelyn Nacon as CIA Agent Kate, and Glenn Stanton as Detective Dugas, all star in the film. Additional cast includes Richard Riehle, Emily Ashby, Jaime Moyer, Augie Duke, Owen Atlas, Xavier Jimenez, Collin Thompson, Hugh Scott, Brittney Escalante, NHL Hall of Famer Phil Exposito, and Elyssa Kim. Duke, Nacon, and Atlas also appeared in Brady's debut film.
Stanton, who played Frost, a member of the Warden's in season 11 of The Walking Dead, shared a video of the sold-out crowd of Hacked's premiere on Instagram. (below)
Stanton also shared the trailer for Hacked, which features Riggs in several alias costumes. I don't known about you, but I am excited to see this film.
Bloody Disgusting shared a review of the movie calling it a "hilariously chaotic revenge caper," ranking it 4.5 out of 5 skulls adding that it "is an uproarious true crime revenge caper that features skillful cinematography, imaginative storytelling, and a fantastic ensemble cast. No exaggeration, this movie is spectacularly, jaw-droppingly laugh out loud funny and the most fun you will have watching a movie this year."
Hopefully we will see Hacked: A Double Entendre of Rage Fueled Karma in theaters soon!
