The Hollywood Reporter recently announced that production of a new horror film has begun. The Big Kill is steeped in nostalgia, paying tribute to Gen X and featuring a soundtrack full of 1990s music. Walking Dead fans will be excited to learn that a cast member from season 6 will star in the film alongside Skeet Ulrich, known for his work in horror, including the original Scream movie.

Todd Berger (It’s a Disaster) will direct the horror-comedy The Big Kill for Live Nation Studios, from a script by Emmy-winning Daily Show writer Daniel Radosh. Ulrich and TWD's Alicia Witt lead the cast with Jolene (Star Trek: Enterprise) and Megan Suri (Companion). Additional cast members include Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Pete Holmes (Woman of the Hour), Natasha Leggero (The Do-Over), Morgan Jay (St. Denis Medical), Trevor Wallace (Drugstore June), and Steph Tolev (Tires).

The story follows a group of longtime friends who gather at a remote cabin with their families after they attend a funeral. The group is forced to face dark elements from the past when a killer begins hunting them.

Both Ulrich and Witt are no strangers to the horror genre. Take a look at their horror credits below.

Ulrich is well known for his role as serial killer Billy Loomis featured in the original Scream movie. Later his voice would appear in Scream 3 (2022) and in Scream VI (2023) he was featured in a cameo role. His other horror roles include Chris Hooker in The Craft (1996), Brice Cobb in The Escape Room (2018), Patrick in Blood (2022), and Elvis in Salvation (2025).

The actor will also appear in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 which is scheduled for release on December 5, 2025. He will also star with Mena Suvari and Elizabeth Marvel in the horror Devoted.

Witt's first horror film was Urban Legend (1998). She portrayed Natalie Simon, who survived the killing spree of her best friend, Brenda Bates (Rebecca Gayheart). She starred alongside Al Pacino in 88 Minutes (2007), which is more of a thriller than a horror that follows serial killer investigations.

She also appeared in two episodes of The Walking Dead as a Savior named Paula. She encountered Carol (Melissa McBride) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) in season 6, and things didn't end well for her.

In 2024, Witt starred in Osgood Perkins' critically acclaimed and commercially successful horror, Longlegs. The film starred Nicolas Cage as the titular character, who was a Satanic serial killer. Witt portrays Ruth Harker, the religious mother of FBI agent Lee Harker (Maika Monroe). Witt told Variety that she refused to watch the film because "It's what came out of me that I don't want to see."

Next, Witt will star in a horror thriller, The Monster, directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, known for directing four of the Saw films.
