AMC's dark noir series, Dark Winds, premieres season 3 on Sunday, March 9. The critically acclaimed series has been renewed for season 4 ahead of the upcoming season's premiere. This season, Walking Dead universe alums Jeanna Elfman (Fear the Walking Dead) and Alex Meraz (The Walking Dead) join the cast.
Both actors attended the premiere event held on March 6 at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in New York City. Cast members who attended the event include Zahn McClarnon, Kiowa Gordon, Jessica Matten, Deanna Allison, Bruce Greenwood, A. Martinez, Alonso Rappa, Aspen Martinez, Gail S. Matthius, and Carly Roland.
Showrunner and executive producer John Wirth also attended with director Erica Tremblay and Chris Eyre, a director who executive produces with Jim Chory and Tina Elmo. AMC executives CEO Kristin Dolan and Dan McDermott, President of Entertainment and Studios, were also in attendance,

Dark Winds season 3
The third season of Dark Winds will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, March 9, with new episodes weekly. The eight-part season begins six months after events of the previous season as Navajo Tribal Police officers Leaphorn and Chee, portrayed by McClarnon and Gordon, start a new investigation into the disappearance of two young boys.

Elfman, known for her roles in Dharma & Greg, Fear the Walking Dead, Shifting Gears, joins the cast as FBI Special Agent Sylvia Washington. Meraz, known for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Walking Dead, and Landman, joins as Border Patrol Agent Ivan Muños.

According to AMC several other newcomers have been added this season.
Bruce Greenwood(The Fall of the House of Usher, The Resident) joins as Tom Spenser, with Raoul Max Trujillo (Mayans M.C., Blue Beetle)as Budge, and Tonantzin Carmelo (La Brea, The English) Border Patrol Agent Eleanda Garza. Additionally, Terry Serpico (Law & Order SVU, Yellowstone) as Border Patrol Senior Chief Ed Henry, Derek Hinkey (American Primeval, Americana) as Shorty Bowlegs, Phil Burke (Hell on Wheels, Rabbit Hole) as Michael Halsey, and Christopher Heyerdahl (Under the Banner of Heaven, Hell on Wheels) as Dr Reynolds also join the cast. In a guest starring role, A. Martinez (Longmire, Days of Our Lives) will portray Scarborough Police Department Acting Chief Gordo Sena.
