The movie is set in the Pacific Northwest in 1983 and is led by Nicolas Cage, who plays a war veteran and lumberjack Red Miller. Red lives with his girlfriend Mandy (Andrea Riseborough), and the couple lead a quiet life devoted to one another. Their stories take a dark turn when Jeremiah Sand (Linus Roache), a maniacal leader of a religious cult known as Children of the New Dawn, takes a special interest in Mandy. This leads to Red taking matters into his own hands, which leads to a bloody rampage of vengeance.
Mandy has earned a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics praising Cage's over-the-top performance. The movie is now streaming on Shudder.
