Where to watch Walking Dead universe actor Lennie James new role in Mr. Loverman

Actor Lennie James is well known for his longtime portrayal of Morgan Jones in The Walking Dead. He would become the first crossover character in TWDU when his story crossed to the first spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, during that series' fourth season. James is a multi-talented individual, having done his share of shows, movies, and theater, and he also wrote, created, and starred in the British series Save Me. Now, he will star in a series, that debuted at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, Mr. Loverman.
His new project is based on Booker Prize Winner Bernardine Evaristo's same-titled novel for BBC One. The story was adapted by Nathaniel Price and is directed by Hong Khaou, known for his feature debut, Lilting (2014).
James portrays Antiguan-born Londoner Barrington Jedidiah Walker, known as Barry, whose wife believes he is cheating on her. While she is correct, his extramarital affair isn't what she thinks. Barry has been involved in a passionate, decades long, affair with his best friend and soulmate, Morris.

Digital Spy gives the series a 4-star review, stating, "By the end of Mr. Loverman, you'll feel as though you've watched something earnest and raw, and though there are a few loose strings, they feel purposeful and true to life's perfectly imperfect nature."
Lennie James' more recent roles include Martin Luther King Sr. in season 4 of Genius: MLK/X. He voiced Ibadan Peters in the FX adult animated series Archer.
On Dec. 6, 2024 he will star in the apocalyptic musical film The End directed Joshua Oppenheimer who co-wrote the film with Rasmus Heisterberg. The movie stars George MacKay, Moses Ingram, Bronagh Gallagher, Tim McInnerny, and Michael Shannon in a story about a wealthy family who, after the world ended two decades ago, have lived in a bunker.
