Walking Dead Spoilers: Rick’s new attraction

Will Rick have a new romance on The Walking Dead in the back half of Season 5?

Rick (Andrew Lincoln) has had to deal with the trauma of losing his wife Lori on the show already. He has also been dealing with all the walkers that are everywhere they look. At the same time, he is doing his best to take care of Carl (Chandler Riggs) and Judith. The rest of the group is his family and he is the leader. He is looking to make sure that everyone stays alive on their mission to find safety.

We were waiting to see if he would ever start a relationship with any of the other females on the show. Michonne and Rick seemed to have a little attraction between each other at one point in the show, but nothing ever materialized from there conversations. They were too busy trying to stay alive instead.

In the back half of season 5, we could see a new attraction born for Rick. According to SFX (magazine capture from Andrew-Lincoln.net), there is mention of a young, blonde woman and a sense of attraction between her and Rick.

Here is the snippet for the magazine clipping:

"“with a young blonde-haired woman in the middle of the empty street. There’s a sense of familiarity and what almost seems like an attraction between the two. But their discussion grows serious, and she shakes her head at him. As Rick walks away, she looks after him, pity in her eyes…”"

Is that romance in the air?  Is this the time that Rick will move past Lori and seek out a relationship? We don’t know what the conversation looks like, but we can’t wait to see who will be looking together with Rick.

Who would this blonde on the show be?

The only blonde that was on the show was Beth. She isn’t around anymore, so we will have to see some new characters come through.

Alexandra Breckenridge (American Horror Story) has been cast for the show in the back half of season 5 and could be this character that we are talking about. Her character is listed as Samantha, an attractive, strong, smart, charming and articulate woman who also has a vulnerable side. She’s a mother with a bohemian spirit, and a talented artist.

Breckenridge was known as a red head during her time with American Horror Story, but she recently had gone blonde for filming for The Walking Dead:

Breckenridge seems like a strong possibility to be the new romance budding on the Walking Dead. This will be interesting to see come to play. What do you think of Rick and this possible new romance?
