Beastie Boy Ad-Rock would love to take a role with the Walking Dead. He doesn’t want to be a walker though.

Could we get a little more hip hop in the world of The Walking Dead? Could we get some “Brass Monkey” getting into the mix? Hip Hop star Ad-Rock (aka Adam Horovitz) of the Beastie Boys would love to get a chance to be on The Walking Dead. He would love to be on the show. Horovitz recently made a return to acting when he took a role on a Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts movie While We’re Young.

Ad-Rock went onto Entertainment Weekly Radio and shared his thoughts on where he would love to get a chance to act on and it quickly became a conversation about The Walking Dead.

“I f—ing love that show,” says Horowitz. “Every moment of that show.… I would love to be in The Walking Dead.” But the man has some conditions. “I don’t want to be a zombie,” says Horovitz. “I want to be like [Daryl’s] friend from the city. Like a distant relative—‘He’s my uncle’s friend from New York.’ They’re not going to have that, are they? I’d show up with like a PBS tote bag and something from Zabar’s—be like, ‘Hey, I got lox! Who wants bagels?’” – (Entertainment Weekly)

The easiest way to be on the show is by becoming a zombie, but Ad-Rock wants to have a larger role. He wants to get a chance at being Daryl’s cousin or something like that. Maybe he should start thinking about joining the cast for Fear the Walking Dead. Since that story line still has not played out, he could get a chance to work in the same universe. He wouldn’t be able to get to work with Daryl or Rick, but he would be able to make a name for himself with the companion series.
