Fear The Walking Dead: Will fans ever see Madison Clark again?

Fear The Walking Dead has been a spin-off within The Walking Dead Universe that has not given fans an easy ride! Along with its insights into the start of the outbreak to various states in the US, fans hadn’t seen in the franchise before, the show has been delightfully dramatic and has given fans some wonderful character journeys to follow. And a lot of stress too!

FTWD has given us so many characters whose arcs have spiraled from one extreme to the other in a fast-paced turn of events over the past 6 years that the show has graced our screens. Strand (Colman Domingo) has been a major topic of conversation within the show due to his everchanging opinions and thoughts, plus he has been with us since (nearly) the beginning. The longest-serving is, of course, Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam Carey) has been a truly brilliant fighter, sister, daughter and leader.

But, one character that took the FTWD by storm was the one and only Madison Clark (Kim Dickens). Will fans ever see her within the universe again? It seems there are multiple routes writers could take if they did want to reintroduce her to the undead world, and I think many fans would be pleased with that choice.

Will Madison Clark return to The Walking Dead Universe?

The last time fans have seen Madison was during 410 “Close your eyes” during a flashback in Alicia’s mind during a very intense talk with Charlie (Alexa Nisenson). It wasn’t the only flashback fans saw in this episode, and fans were met with the tragic visuals, once again, of Nick Clark’s death. One of the most shocking and tragic deaths in the whole TWDU so far.

I think seeing Madison again would be epic for fans as it still feels she has so much story left untold. Being the badass warrior that she is, some fans believe that she didn’t really die in the stadium, which is totally possible. This is backed up by the fact we didn’t actually see her ‘death scene,’ just the events which may have led to it. However, there is some divided opinion, as other fans don’t think we will see the return of Madison in TWDU again.

I think a very cool twist would be if Madison were to crossover into the final season of The Walking Dead within one of the other communities or simply passing by looking for her family. Could you imagine if she were to reside at the Commonwealth and maybe knew Rick – oh boy! Another option is getting her own episode in the new spin-off Tales of The Walking Dead. We could potentially see her after walkers overran the stadium on a quest to reunite with her family. Could it be possible for Daryl and Carol to cross paths with her in their spin-off? But, of course, the most likely option, should she return, would be a future season of Fear The Walking Dead and that would certainly be a relief to know that she is ok and safe and sound.

I would love to see Madison reunite with Alicia, Strand, Luciana and Daniel at some point. We saw Madison right at the outbreak’s start, and it would feel right to see her continue to fight through it. She was an amazing character who always tried to make the broken world better for other people despite her tragic losses and keep those close to her protected. To see her have a happy ending would be a great thing for fans. Her potential future is uncertain, and for all we know, she could get her own show, but for now, let’s keep the hope Madison is still out there happy and will return someday!

Fear The Walking Dead will return for Season 7 on AMC on October 17. It isn’t certain yet where UK fans can stream Season 7 of Fear, but it is suspected to follow previous seasons and be available for streaming on Amazon.
