Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie tag team parent as they juggle schedules
By Renee Hansen
One of The Walking Dead’s power couples, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton Morgan, are a busy couple who oftentimes tag team the parenting duties. JDM has been filming the final season of The Walking Dead in Georgia. Burton Morgan has been recording her Drama Queens podcast, filming the Sundance TV True Crime series It Couldn’t Happen Here and I believe she is also writing another book. Plus, taking care of their two children and their farm in update New York.
Hey, we are all busy, but some of us are busier than others. The Morgan’s do seem to be busier than most. But, when you have a couple who are extremely talented, it is to be expected. This is a couple who are truly devoted to one another, their children, and whatever project they pour themselves into.
JDM posted an adorable photo with his daughter on a plane headed back to Mischief Farms, where he said they would undoubtedly be getting into some mischief and watching some Seahawks football. Burton Morgan will be filming her episode of Talking Dead on Sunday, September 12 and promoting her new true-crime series.
The Walking Dead’s Negan in the final season
Jeffrey Dean Morgan has played Negan Smith in The Walking Dead series since season 6. Over the course of his time on the series, Negan has gone from one of the worst villains to a man trying to redeem himself for years of cruel treatment of others.
The first four episodes of the final season of the series has had a major focus on Negan and Maggie (Lauren Cohen). Maggie has returned and expected Negan to still be in prison for his crimes. To see him walking about and being praised for killing Alpha (Samantha Morton) and helping rid the communities of the threat of the Whisperers was just too much for her to handle.
In the most recent episode, “Hunted,” Maggie and Negan had to join forces for survival, but Maggie is still beating the dead horse that is the fact that people can’t change. While in the next breath, she states that she has changed. She tells Negan he can’t decide who lives or dies, but that is exactly what she is doing.
There is a deeper story with Maggie and the Reapers than we have been told. As we meet the Reapers in the next episode, “Rendition,” hopefully, some light will eventually be shed on why the Reapers are hunting her and exactly what went on between the Reapers and the Wardens.
Then maybe things between Maggie and Negan can calm down. They will never be best friends, but perhaps they can learn to live in peace.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on September 12 with “Rendition.” This episode is currently available to stream on AMC+.
