When is The Walking Dead coming back?

Most of the fans of the long-running series The Walking Dead enjoyed season 11A and can’t wait to see the remaining episodes of the final season. Others did have some complaints, as always, but the fandom is anxious to know how this series will end. We’ve all invested a lot of time in this series over the 11 seasons and want the ending to be epic.

Season 11A saw a lot of screen time for favorite characters Daryl Dixon, Negan, Maggie Rhee and Gabriel. Each appeared in seven of the eight episodes with good stories to start the final season. Carol, Aaron, and Rosita only appeared in five of the eight episodes, and their storylines weren’t as substantial for characters who have been on the series for as long as they have.

Hopefully, 11B and 11C will give these characters more depth and dialogue.

When is The Walking Dead coming back?

The Walking Dead season 11B will return to AMC on February 20, 2022. AMC+ subscribers will be able to view this episode one week earlier.

There were many open-ended storylines left at the end of 11A, and from the teaser trailer that revealed way too much, things will be wrapped up with some of these stories. Showrunner Angela Kang has said they are working on a trailer for 11B, hopefully, it will be released soon!

The last we saw of Daryl, Negan, Maggie, Elijah and Gabriel, they were fighting the Reapers, who now have Leah in charge since she killed Pope. It is unclear how this story will resolve, but it doesn’t seem this can be drawn out a whole lot further.

Negan and Maggie, who were at odds all of 11A, have now come to an agreement, at least for the time being. They decided they had to work together for the greater good of the communities.

Alexandria has been in dire straights for 11A, and in the finale episode, they were experiencing a fire, a storm and a herd of walkers, which left many unanswered questions. Like how a storm with that much rain and a fire can happen at the same time.

We also have Eugene is hot water at the Commonwealth, a community it was only recently allowed to enter. Princess and Ezekiel are there with him, and it’s unclear if they are in trouble with the authorities there as well. Yumiko has made her way into the inner workings of the Commonwealth due to her background and education in law.

It will be an exciting part two of this season, and the teaser shows we will see more of the Commonwealth and finally get introduced to their leader Governor Pamela Milton.
