The Walking Dead season 11B first look at Connie
By Renee Hansen
Season 11A of The Walking Dead finally saw the return of a character who had been missing and presumed dead for quite some time. No, not that one! Connie, who Lauren Ridloff plays, was assumed dead after a cave-in during season 10, and although viewers saw that she survived at the end of the season, she wouldn’t officially return to the series until season 11.
Connie was rescued by Virgil (Kevin Carroll), the same Virgil who drugged Michonne (Danai Guraria). Since Michonne gave him another chance, he decided he would pay it forward, and upon his return to Oceanside, he discovered an exhausted but alive Connie.
His goal was to help her find her family. In the episode “On the Inside,” as a storm was setting in, they took cover in a house they came across. This would be the beginning of their horror-filled nightmare. The home was inhabited by a group of feral people who attacked them. It was an amazing episode, something right out of a horror flick.

The horror episode also saw Connie reunited with her sister Kelly who never gave up hope she would be found alive. She was also reunited with Magna and Carol, who also helped search for their missing friend.
In the final episode of part 1 of season 11, we saw that Connie and Virgil were in Alexandria with the rest of the group. Virgil was a little worse for wear, but Connie seemed to be doing well after her horrific time on her own.
What is next for Connie? The 11B trailer looks to have Connie and Kelly as some type of journalists at the Commonwealth. This is evident from the credentials around their necks. Before the outbreak, Connie was a journalist, and the Commonwealth generally fits you with a job you are suited for.
The first look photo below shows Connie in the second part of this season, and you can view the above-mentioned credentials in this photo.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on February 20. AMC+ subscribers will be able to view the episodes one week earlier.
