The Walking Dead season 11 episode 17 release date
By Renee Hansen
Fans of The Walking Dead series anticipate the series’ last eight episodes with excitement and sorrow. But, news from Comic Con 2022 has given the fandom a resurgence knowing that when the final episode airs, there will be several spinoffs forthcoming, including the surprise announcement of a Rick and Michonne spinoff.
The official trailer for the last eight episodes of The Walking Dead has been released. It begins with a beautiful homage to characters throughout the series, some who have died and others who are still going strong, some until the very end.
We see Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton) tied up, thanking someone for coming and telling them he has a lot to say. He has much to answer for after the midseason finale when he, along with his army of soldiers from the Commonwealth, took over the communities of Alexandria, Hilltop and Oceanside. He was last seen flipping his treasured coin to determine the fates of the Oceanside residents. If he is talking to any of our survivors, he will be lucky to make it out alive. If he is talking to Governor Milton (Laila Robins), we have no idea what side she is on in his overthrowing of the communities.
The Walking Dead season 11, episode 17
The last eight episodes of The Walking Dead will premiere on October 2, 2022, at 9 p.m. on AMC. This episode, as well as episode 18, will premiere on AMC+ that same day.
The story appears to pick up where things left off, and our survivors aren’t going to take things lying down. The trailer shows a horde of walkers descending on a walled community, which much be the Commonwealth. This is the first wide overview of the CW, and it looks enormous, but it would have to be with over 50,000 residents.
Hornsby tells whoever he is talking to that the Milton’s will crush them if they go after them. But it’s too late! Connie (Lauren Ridloff) and her gang have already begun that war. We see Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) tell Maggie (Lauren Cohan) that “None of us safe as long as she is still breathing.” We can assume he is referring to Govn’r Milton.
The action-packed trailer shows all of our characters in situations that look dire, so besides Maggie, Daryl, Carol and Negan, we don’t know who else will make it out of the final episodes alive.
Tales of the Walking Dead is the next series to air on AMC. This series will premiere on August 14.
Fear the Walking Dead has begun filming its eighth season in Savannah, Georgia.
Isle of the Dead began filming its first season in New Jersey.
Daryl’s spinoff has had no updates besides Norman Reedus stating that filming might start in September.
