The Walking Dead: BTS of Judith’s emotional on screen moment

The Walking Dead’s Cailey Fleming is quite the actress for her tender age of 15. She began portraying Judth Grimes after the time jump in season 9. Her introduction was outstanding, wearing her father Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and brother Carl’s (Chandler Riggs) Sherrif hat, sporting her father’s gun, and also sporting a katana, a miniature version of her mother Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) weapon. Judith was shot during the series’ penultimate episode, which was an emotional and fantastic scene.

Fleming is fortunate to work with such an amazing cast and crew on The Walking Dead series. She has likely learned much from the powerhouse of talent included in this series. But she also possesses a lot of natural talent, evident in the scenes she stars in. Fleming shared that she was so surprised at how real the scene looked when she could finally view it.
Fleming shares that she was very nervous about filming this scene in the video. Executive producer Denise Huth, who has been with the show since the beginning, complimented Fleming for a great job in this challenging scene. Huth stated that Fleming’s background in dancing and gymnastics aided her in performing such a physical scene.
Monty L. Simons, a stunt coordinator who has been with the series since season 5, expressed that Fleming is wise beyond her years, and his job was to help her make taking the shot seem real.

Fleming has had much success during her career, even achieving an acting trifecta by starring in The Walking Dead, Star Wars, and Marvel universes, which is impressive for someone her age.
She starred as a young Rey in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. In 2020 she shared a May the 4th be with You post featuring herself and Daisy Ridley, who played the older version of the character.
She would also star in the MCU Disney+ series Loki where she played Kid Sylvie in one episode.
As The Walking Dead ends, Fleming has already been cast in a new role. She will star in John Krasinski’s Imaginary Friends, formerly titled If. This movie is expected to release in May 2024.
