The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus is a household name for fans of the series. His 12-year role as Daryl Dixon has made him a staple in The Walking Dead universe. Even with the main series ending, Reedus will continue his role as Dixon in a spinoff series that takes him to France. Many of Reedus’ fans became acquainted with him after his role in the 2000 film The Boondock Saints, which is currently streaming on Prime Video with a subscription or on Tubi for free.
Tubi is an ad-supported streaming platform that is currently streaming The Boondock Saints. The movie stars Reedus as Murphy MacManus and Sean Patrick Flannery as his fraternal twin brother Connor. The Irish Catholic brothers believe God calls them to rid their hometown of Boston of its criminal elements. They embark on a quest for vigilante justice, where they determine who gets killed for their crimes.
This movie has a huge cult following and even spawned a second film, The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. There has been talk of a third installment that would see Reedus and Flannery reprise their roles, but nothing new has been announced about this project since 2021.
Norman Reedus – The Boondock Saints
The Troy Duffy film didn’t do well at the box office but would quickly become a cult classic. The movie saw a limited theater release due to concerns about comparisons between the characters in the film to the shooters of the 1999 Columbine High School Massacre.
This action-packed film shows the MacManus brothers in their plight to rid Boston of evil while adding comedic elements that keep things light. Joining Reedus and Flannery are David Della Rocco, Billy Connolly, Gerald Parkes, and William Defoe as FBI agent Paul Smecker who will stop at nothing to capture the brothers.
If you like comedy action films, don’t miss The Boondock Saints.
