The Walking Dead: Dead City is proving to be the best spinoff story in The Walking Dead universe. It is action-packed and gives off an original Walking Dead vibe while keeping things fresh, new, and exciting. While the main story focuses on Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the cast has many new and exciting additions. One such addition is Charlie Solis, who played the bartender in episode 1 and took time from his schedule to chat with Undead Walking about his experience on the series.

The first episode of Dead City, “Old Acquaintances,” showed Maggie at a bar where she encountered a bartender who was eager to chat with her. She faked being tipsy and told him groaners, another name for the undead, overran her cabin. He would then tell her of a man who lives in his community who is excellent at taking care of the groaners. This man is Negan, exactly who Maggie was looking for.

Solis plays this character, and during our recent conversation, he discussed being a part of The Walking Dead: Dead City, working with Michelle Hurd and Lauren Cohan and more.
