National Supernatural Day! Walking Dead actors who starred in the series
By Renee Hansen
September 13 is a day set aside to celebrate the dark fantasy drama series Supernatural created by Eric Kripke (The Boys) that aired on The WB, which became The CW, from 2005 to 2020. Over the years, several Walking Dead cast members have also starred in Supernatural.
Supernatural Day is celebrated on the anniversary of the pilot episode, which premiered on September 13, 2005. Warner Brothers organized the first celebration in partnership with Hot Topic. The promotion declared this day to celebrate the show, the fans, and the cast and crew.
Fans flock to social media to celebrate the series, displaying artwork, tattoos, cosplay, and more in appreciation for the series, which ran for 15 episodes. The day was established to honor the Winchester mission: Saving people, hunting things – the family business.
On June 23, 2018, Mayor Steve Adler of Austin, Texas, declared that day Supernatural Day in the city of Austin. Both Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles are residents of Austin.
The series follows brothers Sam and Dean (Padalecki & Ackles, respectively), who follow in their father’s footsteps as hunters of ghosts, monsters, demons, and many other supernatural beings roaming the earth.
