4 Daryl Dixon characters we could lose in season 4

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon ends with season 4, and we're sure not everyone will make it out alive.

We have been taken on a rollercoaster of a ride these past three seasons on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. There have been several plot points and stories that have kept us tuning in week after week. Many characters have been introduced that we have grown to enjoy watching develop throughout their time on this show.

Sadly, and much like all the shows in The Walking Dead franchise, Daryl Dixon has had a tendency to kill off some major characters that Daryl and Carol have met throughout their journey. This consistent recurrence has fans wondering who will meet their untimely death in season 4.

1. Antonio

Antonio almost lost his life once before when Fede strung him up in front of the whole town. He was there for Carol in her time of need, and she was there for him. Carol has lost many lovers in the past, which makes me believe this one won't be any different.

Antonio played his part in season 3, but now that El Alcázar has been defeated and he can't call Spain his home anymore, it may be the end for his character. In season 3 episode 5, titled "Limbo," Carol brings up the idea of Antonio coming to America with them, but he declines saying his home is in Solaz del Mar. However, soon after everything that happens with Fede, Los Primitivos, and El Alcázar, Antonio finds himself deciding to venture out to America alongside his son and the rest of the crew.

In the world of The Walking Dead, all of this sounds too good to be true. I have a hard time believing that their whole group will make it to America in one piece. I believe Antonio's death would open up more of a wound in Carol, but it could bring her to reflect on her life in this apocalypse. It would also give Carol and Daryl a chance to lean on one another since Daryl is still dealing with the loss of Isabelle.

2. Roberto

The moment Daryl and Carol met Roberto, he was trying to run away from Spain with his girlfriend, Justina. Roberto went through many obstacles in season 3 with El Alcázar and his own community in Solaz. He had to fight to keep his relationship with Justina even before she was taken away during La Ofrenda.

Thankfully, he was able to work together with Daryl and Carol to save Justina and defeat El Alcázar. Even after Roberto had overcome many of the challenges that he faced in Solaz, he still decided to start a new adventure with Justina by joining Daryl and Carol in their trip back to America. Sadly, at the end of season 3, their trip becomes delayed once again when Fede shoots the boat and causes it to blow up.

Young couples never seem to last in The Walking Dead universe. Some of the best relationships in these shows have met their end due to a lover dying. I don't see Roberto living past season 4, especially since Fede is still alive and has a vengeance for their group. I think Roberto's death would shape Justina's character into an even stronger one. His death could also bring Antonio and Carol even closer. Carol could help Antonio overcome the loss of a child, and it could help bring her story full circle. This would be devastating, but it would add a beautiful and emotional story to season 4.

3. Valentina

Valentina has been an outcast throughout the time we have known her on the show. She separates herself from the town of Solaz and lives in a lighthouse on the coast. In season 3 episode 5, titled "Limbo," Valentina explains that her reasoning for staying out of Solaz is because so many people in the town judge her. Valentina is a very strong and independent woman, but she seems to have a hard time keeping herself out of trouble. We've seen her willing to stand up to anyone in her way, and because of this, I believe we could lose her in season 4.

Valentina has a hard time getting along with people, which makes me believe we could see her story come full circle by going out defending others. It would be a beautiful ending for her to die for those that finally treated her with kindness.

4. Fede

Fede went through a rollercoaster of a time during season 3. He strived to keep Solaz del Mar safe, but he chose the wrong ways to do it. He believed he needed strength from El Alcázar to keep his town protected and strong. However, he was only adding to the problem by letting them have a hold over the town.

After Daryl and the rest of the group defeat El Alcázar, the town soon learns of Fede's lies about sending Justina away. The town is furious, and they end up imprisoning him for his actions. This leaves Fede bitter towards Daryl and the rest of that group.

At the end of season 3 episode 7, titled "Solaz del Mar," Fede confronts Daryl with a machine gun after he escapes imprisonment. Fede tries to shoot Daryl but misses when Carol tackles him to the ground. His missed shots end up hitting the boat instead, ruining the group's chance to sail to America.

Fede runs off after this, and I believe we will see him come back with an even deeper vengeance towards the group next season. I believe that he may meet his end, especially since he will most likely plan to sabotage their plans to get back to America again down the road.

Not many people have made it throughout Daryl Dixon's long journey back to America. There will definitely be more traumatic deaths to come along the way through this last season.
