Earlier this month, Variety reported that RLJE Films acquired a new movie, Neighborhood Watch, a thriller reuniting The Boys actors Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jack Quaid, and also starring Malin Akerman.
The film, formerly titled Nowhere Men, was directed by Duncan Skiles, known for The Clovehitch Killer, and was and written by newcomer, Sean Farley. Filming took place in Alabama under an agreement during the SAG-AFTRA strikes.
Neighborhood Watch follows Simon (Quaid), a young man who struggles with mental illness, who is convinced he has witnessed an abduction. When law enforcement refuses to believe him, he enlists the help of his neighbor, retired security guard Ed (Morgan), a man with a troubled past. As they try to piece together what Simon witnessed, both are forced to confront the dark secrets of the disappearance and struggle with personal issues.
RLJE will release the film in theaters and on demand on April 25, 2025. RLJE, owned by AMC Networks, previously released Mandy, Bone Tomahawk, and The Tax Collector.
Mark Ward, chief acquisitions officer of RLJE Films, stated, “‘Neighborhood Watch’ sees Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jack Quaid build on each other’s talents to unravel a suspenseful and surprising mystery, and Duncan Skiles has crafted a smart character-driven thriller that keeps you guessing. We can’t wait for viewers to unravel this unpredictable journey.”
