Bone Tomahawk stars Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, Richard Jenkins, Lili Simmons, Evan Jonigkeit, David Arquette, Zahn McClarnon and Sid Haig. Additional cast members include Fred Melamed, Jamison Newlander, Michael Paré, and The Walking Dead actor Alex Meraz portrays Eagle Skulls.

Set in the 1980s, the movie follows small-town Sheriff Frank Hunt (Russell) who leads a posse comprised of his Deputy Chicory (Jenkins), gunslinger John Brooder (Fox), and cowboy Arthur O'Dwyer (Wilson) to rescue three people abducted by group of savage cannibals.
