New York Comic Con is gearing up for an exceptional year with four days of pop culture, film, TV, celebs, authors, and more. The annual event takes place from October 9 to 12 at the Javits Center in New York City. This year's celebrity guest list features an impressive lineup of talent, including The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus.
Reedus, who is best known as Daryl Dixon, a character introduced in the first season of AMC's long-running apocalyptic series, will appear at NYCC on Saturday only. The actor will be in attendance, signing autographs at his table, and will also be available for photo ops that can be purchased on the NYCC website.
The event's socials were flooded with responses from fans excited about the chance to meet the actor who is currently filming the fourth and final season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon in Spain.
Reedus' Daryl Dixon is one of only four original characters to survive the eleven-season run of The Walking Dead. He reprised his role in 2023 for season 1 of the Daryl Dixon spinoff that received rave reviews from fans and critics. The story followed Daryl on an unexpected journey to France. The second season reintroduced Carol Peleteir (Melissa McBride) back into the story, and the third found the duo traveling to Spain. The fourth and final season will also, at least in part, take place in Spain, but the primary goal of both characters is to find their way back home.
AMC recently premiered season 7 of Reedus' motorcycle travel series Ride with Norman Reedus on September 14. The series follows Reedus and other celebs as they travel, via motorcycle, to worldwide destinations, engaging with people in the local motorcycle culture, and visiting the area. This season, Reedus' guests include some familiar TWD faces, including McBride, Greg Nicotero, and Scott M. Gimple. Also appearing will be Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead: Dead City), Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The Walking Dead), and Zahn McClarnon (Dark Winds).
Reedus will also reprise his role as Murphy MacManus in the third installment of The Boondock Saints film series. The first two installments were directed by Troy Duffy, who is creating a series of Boondock Saints novels. The upcoming film is described as a reimagining and expansion of the franchise.
Next, he will appear in the mystery thriller Pendulum, which also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Phoebe Dynevor. The actor has appeared in several other recent roles, including Ballerina and The Bikeriders.
