AMC Upfronts star-studded event, Norman Reedus & Melissa McBride, and many more

The Hollywood Reporter reports that AMC Networks reveals plans for 2024 and beyond at its annual Upfronts event. Chief commercial officer Kim Kelleher says the network is approaching 2024 with flexibility. The annual event was attended by members of the undead and many notable Walking Dead actors, including Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and his wife, Hilarie Burton Morgan.
Reedus and McBride attended to promote the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which is subtitled The Book of Carol. This season sees the return of McBride as the woman who always saves the day, Carol Peleiter. Her story, which began in the first season of the main series, will continue in the spinoff as she searches for Daryl (Reedus), who viewers know was unwillingly shipped off to France. This season will also continue Daryl's, who remains in France, story.
Cohan and Morgan, who recently began filming the second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City, were on hand to promote their series. Filming for the upcoming season was moved from New Jersey to Boston, and it will be interesting to see what's next for Maggie and Negan.
AMC announced that, like the new ad tiers for AMC+, the network will roll out ad tiers to Shudder (horror); Acorn TV (global thrillers and dramas from the U.K., Australia, Ireland, etc.); HIDIVE (Japanese anime); ALLBLK (focused on Black audiences); and Sundance Now.
AMC will also add to its "Content Room" with a new season of In the Kitchen with Harry Hamlin (Whole Foods sponsored the first season). There will be more seasons of Show Me More, which gives an in-depth look behind the scenes of Walking Dead's long list of series, as well as many other AMC series. Another new addition will be The Walking Dogs, featuring the fur babies of Walking Dead universe actors and Vibe Check with Reginae, hosted by Reginae Carter of the WE TV series Toya & Reginae.
The network will also beef up its horror offerings as they have hired Josh Ruben, who is well-known as a horror writer, actor, and director for Scare Me and Werewolves Within. He will serve as an "ambassador of horror." He will also write, produce, and create custom horror films for AMC's partners.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol will premiere on AMC and AMC+ in the summer of 2024.
The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 began filming in April 2024 and will likely premiere in 2025.
