According to WBSM, some residents of Taunton, Massachusetts, have received letters from AMC Network regarding filming for season 2 of The Walking Dead: Dead City. Filming for the series moved from New York/New Jersey in season 1 to Boston and the surrounding areas for the next season.

The letter states that Stalwart Productions LLC will film scenes for Season 2 of Dead City on April 8, 9, and 11. The filming will take place on private property, but the letter warns residents that traffic could increase in the area, which the Taunton Police Department will monitor. Another item in the letter states that some residents will be compensated for leaving their house lights off during filming.

Another item in the letter addresses the often asked question regarding background actors: “Additionally, since it’s a frequent question, if you are interested in being considered as a background actor, you can apply at Kendall Cooper Casting."

Filming will be located in old brick factory buildings that look like they will fit the vibe of Dead City. (see the article below for more info)

The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2

The finale episode of Season 1 of Dead City set the tone for what's to come. This series focuses on Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan), two characters introduced in the main series who have long been enemies. In Dead City, the pair teamed up to rescue Maggie's son Hershel (Logan Kim), but Maggie betrayed Negan and traded him to secure her son's release.

The second season is expected to see the return of several cast members, in addition to Morgan, Cohan, and Kim; these include Gaius Charles, Mahina Napoleon, Željko Ivanek, Lisa Emery, and Pallavi Sastry. It was recently announced that Sons of Anarchy actor Kim Coates will join the story in the upcoming season. He is cast as Bruegel, the leader of one of the fiercest gangs in New York.

Season 2 of The Walking Dead: Dead City will likely return to AMC and AMC+ in 2025.
