Fear the Walking Dead actor Garret Dillahunt cast in ABC series High Potential

Deadline reports that Garret Dillahunt, John Dorie in Fear the Walking Dead, has been cast in a recurring role in a new series from ABC, High Potential. Dillahunt most recently stars in The Dead Don't Hurt with Viggo Mortensen and Red Right Hand with Orlando Bloom and Andie McDowell.
High Potential is a new crime procedural created and written by Drew Goddard (The Good Place, The Martian) for ABC that will be released this fall. The series is based on the French series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel and is directed by Alethea Jones, who also produces. Rob Thomas serves as the series showrunner and executive producer with Goddard, Sarah Esberg for Goodard Textiles, and Dan Etheridge.
The series stars Kaitlin Olson, who is well-known for her roles in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Mick. She portrays Morgan, a single mother who works as a police department cleaner. She begins working as a consultant when by-the-book detective Karadec (Daniel Sunjata) recognizes her intellect and unconventional ability to solve crimes. Together, they become an unstoppable team.
Dillahunt will portray Lieutenant Melon head of the Robbery Division of the LAPD precinct who can be a bit of a jerk. He holds a grudge against his co-worker, Selena (Judy Reyes), who was given the position of running Major Crimes, a job Melon believes he was unfairly passed over.

High Potential will air Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC and stream on Hulu this fall.
Garret Dillahunt - recent roles
Dillahunt recently appeared in six episodes of the Starz crime drama Hightown and the action thriller Red Right Hand with Orlando Bloom, Andie McDowell, and fellow TWDU actor Ray M Ethan McDowell, available via VOD on Prime Video. Another recent role is in The Dead Don't Hurt, written, directed, produced, composed by, and starring Viggo Mortensen and also stars fellow Fear TWD actor Ray McKinnon.
In 2023, he starred with Michael Peña and Rosa Salazar in the Prime Video original movie A Million Miles Away. The film tells the story of José M. Hernández (Peña), the first Mexican-American astronaut. He also starred in Gray Matter, a sci-fi thriller streaming on Max.
