Studio Canal and Working Title have announced a new film collaboration, Pressure. BAFTA winner and Oscar nominee Kerry Condon has secured her next role alongside Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott in the D-Day movie.

Filming for the Anthony Maras (Hotel Mumbai) directed film will begin in September in the UK. The story is based on Olivier Award winner David Haig's play; Haig co-wrote the screenplay with Maras. The play explores personal and military stress experienced by key members of Dwight D. Eisenhower's team during the 72 hours leading up to the Normandy invasion.

Pressure tells the true account of the pressure British Chief Meteorological Officer James Stagg experienced as he was responsible for reporting the unpredictable weather conditions to Eisenhower that would significantly affect the success of the invasion.

Fraser was cast as Eisenhower, known as Ike, U.S. Army General and Supreme Commander of the Allies, who would later become the 34th President of the United States (1953-61). Eisenhower was praised for his leadership during the war. Condon will portray Eisenhower's trusted aide, Captain Kay Sumersby, who began as his chauffeur and became his personal secretary. Scott will portray Meteorologist Stagg.
