Kerry Condon cast with Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott in D-Day movie Pressure

Studio Canal and Working Title have announced a new film collaboration, Pressure. BAFTA winner and Oscar nominee Kerry Condon has secured her next role alongside Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott in the D-Day movie.
Filming for the Anthony Maras (Hotel Mumbai) directed film will begin in September in the UK. The story is based on Olivier Award winner David Haig's play; Haig co-wrote the screenplay with Maras. The play explores personal and military stress experienced by key members of Dwight D. Eisenhower's team during the 72 hours leading up to the Normandy invasion.
Pressure tells the true account of the pressure British Chief Meteorological Officer James Stagg experienced as he was responsible for reporting the unpredictable weather conditions to Eisenhower that would significantly affect the success of the invasion.
Fraser was cast as Eisenhower, known as Ike, U.S. Army General and Supreme Commander of the Allies, who would later become the 34th President of the United States (1953-61). Eisenhower was praised for his leadership during the war. Condon will portray Eisenhower's trusted aide, Captain Kay Sumersby, who began as his chauffeur and became his personal secretary. Scott will portray Meteorologist Stagg.
Condon received critical acclaim for her role in Martin McDonagh's The Banshees of Inisherin. Next, she will star with Jude Law in the Disney+ and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars sci-fi series Skeleton Crew. She has also been cast in F1, the Formula One racing drama directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick). The movie has an all-star cast consisting of Condon, Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Javier Bardem, and Sarah Niles. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in June 2025.
Fraser is known for his roles in The Whale, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor, and The Mummy trilogy, recently starred in Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon. Next, he will star in Hikari's comedy drama, Rental Family with , Mari Yamamoto, Takehiro Hira and Akira Emoto.
Scott is well known for his Critics Choice award winning role in Fleabag, the drama All of Us Strangers, and the Netflix series Ripley, for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor. Recently he starred in Rian Johnson's Wake Up Dead Man and will appear in Netflix's action-comedy Back In Action.
