Michonne experiences overwhelming emotions in The Ones Who Live promo video

The Walking Dead's Michonne, portrayed by the ever-so-talented Dania Gurira, is no stranger to loss and heartache. In The Walking Dead series, we learn the horrific story of her son, Andre Anthony, and watch her suffer another significant loss of her adopted son, Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs). The most significant loss came when she believed Rick (Andrew Lincoln) perished in the bridge explosion in season 9. The Ones Who Live will chronicle Michonne's search for her husband, and the new promo video reveals the continued torment she experiences.
The devistation Michonne and the others experienced watching Rick sacrifice himself to save them all was heartwrenching for viewers. Luckily viewers had he inside story on what became of Rick.
When Michonne discovered clues of Rick's survival, nothing could stop her from seeking him out. The only soul she told was Rick's daughter Judith (Cailey Fleming) who told her she must look for him. Judith believed that unless something was wrong, Rick would have returned to them long ago. Fans are eager to see if Rick and Michonne will reunite with their children, Judith and RJ.
The Ones Who Live will feature MIchonne's plight to reunite with her true love, Rick Grimes, and reveal what has transpired with him since he was whisked away to the CRM (Civic Republic Military) with Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh), who also returns in TOWL.
TWD CCO Scott M. Gimple is the showrunner for The Ones Who Live as executive produces with Lincoln, Gurira, Denise Huth, Brian Bockrath, and Greg Nicotero. Other cast members include Lesley-Ann Brandt, Terry O’Quinn, Matthew August Jeffers, Craig Tate, Andrew Bachelor, Breeda Wool, and more.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live premeires on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, February 25, at 9 p.m. ET.
