The Ones Who Live has concluded, what's next in The Walking Dead universe?

AMC isn't finished with The Walking Dead spinoffs just yet; more seasons are in the works.

The Rick and Michonne spinoff The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live concluded its story in March 2024. Most viewers agree that the CRM storyline was very rushed in the end, but the series did a fantastic job of continuing the love story of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Guira) which also featured their reunion with their children. What's coming next in The Walking Dead universe?

In the summer of 2024, the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, subtitled The Book of Carol, will return to AMC and AMC+. This season will continue Daryl's (Norman Reedus) story in France and see the return of Melissa McBride as Carol as she searches for her best friend in the States.

The second season of Daryl Dixon will see the return of several cast members, including Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi, and Eriq Ebouaney. More characters will be introduced, including Manish Dayal as Ash, a character Carol will encounter in her search for Daryl in Maine, his last known location.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has been renewed for a third season.

The Walking Dead: Dead City is scheduled to begin filming in Boston in April 2024. Things in season 2 will pick up where season 1 concluded. Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), in the custody of the Dama (Lisa Emery), a mysterious ally of the Burazi, who wants Negan to join her ultimate plan to take over Manhattan.

Maggie (Lauren Cohan) was at odds with her son Hershel (Logan Kim), who had been a captive of the Dama and the Croat (Željko Ivanek). Maggie traded Negan for her son, who had suffered much at the hands of his captives, who removed one of his toes. Hershel harbors much anger towards his mother for becoming so obsessed with revenge on Negan that she has neglected her relationship with her son. At the end of season 2, she vows to finish things with Negan.

It will be exciting to see what's next for Negan, Maggie, and the other characters introduced in this series. Cast members expected to return in season 2 include Gaius Charles, Mahina Napoleon, Željko Ivanek, Lisa Emery, Logan Kim, and Pallavi Sastry.

Kim Coates, of Sons of Anarchy fame, was recently announced to join Dead City season 2. He will portray a character named Bruegel, the leader of one of the fiercest gangs in New York.
