Walking Dead highlight reel featuring the best of Rick and Michonne
By Renee Hansen
AMC will have a banner year in The Walking Dead universe during 2024, with the debut of the highly anticipated Rick and Michonne series and a second season of the Daryl Dixon spinoff. Fans are eager to find out what has happened to the apocolyptic power couple who have been separated for years. AMC recently released a reel featuring highlights of Rick and Michonne's journey.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, 2024. This date is also the sixth anniversary of a gut-wrenching episode, "Honor," that saw the death of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne's (Danai Gurira) son, Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs).
Rick and Michonne didn't have the friendliest introduction during the season 3 episode, "Hounded," but would eventually become friends and then more. They have experienced a lot during their time together, some good, some bad, and their relationship is built on trust and mutual respect, which has allowed them to endure.
The Ones Who Live is a highly anticipated series that will finally see the return of these two fan-favorite characters. Rick has been trying to make his way back to his family all of these years while he has been held by the CRM (Civic Military Republic), and Michonne, once she learned that Rick survived the explosion at the bridge, has never given up looking for him or the hope she will see him again.
Below is an amazing look at the evolution of Rick and Michonne's journey from their rocky introduction to the highly emotional event that separated them.
