Joel de la Fuente has a long running career which includes many notable roles in Space: Above and Beyond, Hemlock Grove, The Man in the High Castle, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He joined The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon in season 1, and next, he will appear in the Apple TV feature Ramona at Midlife.
The movie is written and directed by Brooke Berman, in her directorial debut that premiered at Geena Davis’s esteemed Bentonville Film Festival.
Ramona at Midlife chronicles the story of former bestselling author Ramona Lee. Now in her 40s, she navigates her job at a veterinarian clinic and single motherhood, raising her daughter Kiki. When she learns that a filmmaker has stolen her life story, she knows she must act to reclaim her life. She begins to date again and attempts to repair friendships. She copes with it all by turning to her artistic idol, Patti Smith, whom she writes to for advice.

de le Fuente joined The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon in the final episode of the first season. He portrayed Losang, a man who led The Union of Hope, a group who put their faith in a young boy they believed could save humanity.
He also lent his voice talents in the Adult Swim animated series My Adventures with Superman. The series also stars Jack Quaid, Alice Lee, Ishmel Sahid, Michael Emerson, and more. de le Fuente voices General Same Lane.
In 2023, he appeared in Atrabilious a thriller comedy horror also starring Leon Addison Brown , Whoopi Goldberg , Alec Baldwin , Jeffrey Wright , Mark Boone Junior , Lewis Black, Evan Jonigkeit , and David Pittu.
