McClincy is best known for her role as Lydia beginning in season 9 of The Walking Dead. She is the daughter of Alpha (Samantha Morton), leader of The Whisperers, who suffered great trauma, brought on by her mother. Once free of her mother's physical and psychological abuse, Lydia thrives within the communities of our survivors.

Lydia suffered the loss of an arm due to a walker bite, but luckily survived. She got her happy ending by the conclusion of The Walking Dead as she was shown happy, thriving, and in a relationship with Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari).

In January 2025, McClincy appeared in her second episode of NBC's medical drama, Chicago Med. She portrays a character named Ariel Sparkman in 2 episodes of the series tenth season.

She also stars in an indie film, The Snare, which premiered at the Cinequest Festival in San Jose and Redwood City, California. The film is the directorial debut of Merlin Camozzi, known for Coeur D'Alene (2016) and Flesh and Blood (2016). Camozzi wrote the film that is executive produced by William Kay, Nina Mishkin, Lesley Wright, Jesse Russell, and DJ Dodd.

The Snare tells of a high schooler named Dani (McClincy) whose dream is to attend college. She works hard to make her dream a reality, but one wrong move threatens to shatter her plans. While protecting her brother, Dani is caught with an insignificant amount of drugs. The police then force her to act as an informant or face jail time.

The movie also stars Dempsey Bryk (Going Dutch), Lucy Walters (Power Book IV: Force), Dominic Bogar (American Primevil), Royce Johnson (House of Payne), and Elizabeth Stahlmann (City on a Hill) and more.

McClincy will star in Danny Peykoff's Out Come the Wolves, a movie based on the Berkeley, California punk band Rancid's same-titled album. The movie, set during the 1990s East Bay punk scene, also stars fellow TWD actor Ryan Hurst, Giancarlo Esposito, Harold Perrineau, and more.
